A family run Bistro in Cockermouth, the English Lake District. We're passionate about bringing you relaxed dining, great food experiences and exciting menu's including great British classics, local favourites and sensational seasonal specials with all our meat, game, cheese and vegetables sourced from local famers and growers. carlin's bar & bistro opened with a splash on the 24th April 2010. The contemporary styled bar and bistro takes the place of Oscars following extensive refurbishments of the Allerdale Court Hotel after the floods of November 2009.

carlin's is named after John Carlin, who sadly died in January 2010 of a heart attack. His wife Kay, together with sons Jake and Charlie, vowed to reopen and make John's vision a reality, working night and day to make it happen. They are the first Hotel to reopen since the floods.

Taking mouthwatering food and contemporary colours as the theme. The new carlin's bar & bistro has a relaxed, informal atmosphere. carlin's is a busy and fashionable venue where you'll find a mouth-watering choice of grills and steaks, pasta dishes, pizzas, fish and specialities - ideal for a memorable night out.
