At the Allerdale Court Hotel we have two exceptional restaurants, Oscars and Pickwicks. Dining at The Allerdale Court is an important part of any guest’s stay and it is not by chance that both of our two restaurants have earned fine reputations both locally and nationally. Both restaurants offer superb freshly cooked food, and plenty of it, served with smiling experience to your table. The Pickwick is a traditional British Silver served restaurant while Oscars, a Latin themed restaurant, is a busy, fashionable night time venue with plenty of grills, steaks, fish and specialities. To complement both restaurants, our bar offers the full range of wines, ales and spirits that you would expect to find in a Lakeland hostelry. A traditional Lakeland welcome awaits you and open fire and original oak beams help to create a relaxing atmosphere. For menu details from our restaurants click on either of the menu links below. The Allerdale Court Hotel is pleased to announce that we have contacted all our food suppliers to ascertain whether the products that we buy from them contain any genetically modified materials. Our suppliers have assured us, to the best of their knowledge, all ingredients that they supply us are free from genetically modified materials.

Mike Stanley, head chef at Oscars Restaurant Mike is the head chef at Oscars. He started in the catering trade at the age of 14 and has been involved in the industry for over 20 years, he studied catering at Blackpool College, and then worked at "Guys Eating Establishment" in Garstang, before moving to Cockermouth 10 years ago. He has been head chef at Oscars for nearly 7 years. All butchery and grocery produce are supplied locally. Mike compiles our menus from customers favourites.

Ian Tinnion, second chef at Oscars Restaurant was born and raised in West Cumbria where he spent 2 years at Workington Technical College. He has worked in various hotels and restaurants in Lakeland, including 4 years at the Blackbell Bridge Inn and 4 years as head chef at the Rosette award winning Ennerdale Country House Hotel.

Noel Thompson, head chef at The Pickwick Restaurant, has been a chef for over 35 years, and has been at The Allerdale Court for years. Previously Noel had worked at various restaurants in Lancaster, Kendal and Windermere. Noel is assisted by second chef Alan Boulton.

At The Allerdale Court Hotel a traditional 3-course Luncheon is served every Sunday between 12.00 and 2.00pm in The Pickwick Restaurant. Vegetarian meals are available and children's portions and prices are also available.
